at Mississippi State Celebrating Ninety Years S ince the fall, Pi Kappa Alpha has maintained our momentum as a top chapter within Mississippi State University's Greek community. e Gamma eta House Corporation recently added Carson Wilkins '08 as the new treasurer, who is taking over for Stokes Templeton '09. Stokes will now serve as the undergraduate chapter's financial advisor. Additionally, Gamma eta was honored with a House of the Quarter Award for the 2017- 18 academic year, which makes our chapter a contestant for House of the Year at national convention. is achievement would not have been possible without alumni support through the Legendary Past, Ensuring Our Future: Celebrating 90 Years at Mississippi State campaign. Challenge Campaign Deadline Extended However, we still have a way to go. As alumni, we must continue building the bond of brotherhood by supporting our undergraduate brothers with our time and financial resources. We've raised 80% of the needed goal, and still have 20% to raise. We need to meet our fundraising goal so we can get our chapter on solid financial footing. Your help is needed—show the undergraduates you support them and send in your pledge form today. Last fall, an anonymous donor generously doubled his original pledge to the capital campaign and offered a one dollar match for every new dollar pledged, up to $50,000. To date, $28,700 has been raised. It's not too late to make twice the impact on our campaign. Take advantage of this challenge and double the impact of your gi. Act now before it's too late! e relationship the active chapter has with our alumni encourages members to remain actively involved throughout their time at MSU and aer graduation. Our undergraduate brothers are taking good care of our facility, and it's our duty to equip them with the necessary tools to succeed and make sure that Gamma eta is around for many more generations to enjoy. Other fraternities on campus are awakening to the need to compete with PIKE. Our campaign requires that we focus on excelling above other fraternities, just like we did during our respective undergraduate years. Help us finish this fundraising campaign by mailing in your pledge card today. Gamma eta Invites You to the 150th Anniversary Celebration We will be celebrating Pi Kappa Alpha's 150th anniversary on April 6-8. e MSU Diamond Dawgs are hosting a state rival, Ole Miss, that weekend and would love to have as much participation as possible. Friday, April 6, we will host a golf tournament, but more details will be forthcoming as we are looking at different venue options. We will continue the celebration on Saturday, April 7, as we host a reception to cap off the weekend. is will be determined once we know the Ole Miss game time for Saturday. In continuation of the 150th anniversary, our national convention is being help in Charlottesville, Virginia. We would encourage anybody interested in attending to do so. It would reflect well on our chapter if we were able to put together a group to represent the many years of Gamma eta's success at this convention.
