Page 2 Beta Tidings lawn and we worshiped there on Sunday mornings. The set up and take down was not easy, but they never complained. There was even one Sunday when we competed with the sorority next door during morning worship. The sorority was going through pledge week and had their events at the same time as our worship. It was a comical and memorable experience. "The guys in this house do have their challenges as all college students do, and of course, they are not perfect. But, they have been consistent in help, Bible study, and worship attendance. They are a huge blessing to our church. On October 31, 2017, during the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Church, we had our first service in our new sanctuary. It was great to have every one of the the Beta Sig guys filling up our pews on that Sunday. They played a big part in helping us get to that moment and it was icing on the cake to see all of them there for the celebration. It was an awesome thing to have them receive the word of Christ together. It is true that any good work that one does, including the Beta Sigs, is a result of abiding in Christ. For it is the person who abides in Christ that bares good fruit." –Pastor Herman CHAPTER MEMBERS FILLED PEWS (Continued from page 1) Wood carvings on display at ULu. Newly renovated sanctuary at University Lutheran Chruch. S ince we began publishing Beta Tidings, we've highlighted outstanding men who've showcased their merit, faith, and dedication to Beta Sig. We're looking to find more alumni to feature in our upcoming newsletters. Do you have anyone in mind? We were proud to get to know Jay Kammeyer '82 in our latest edition. We also showcased our property managers Trish and Mark Brown in fall 2014. If you know any brothers who are doing exciting work, are involved with the Chapter, or just feel they have a story that should be told, reach out to us. If you or a fellow brother have a story to tell, we want to feature it in Beta Tidings. Please contact sbickel@penningtonco.com with your ideas.
