TAU TALES Winter 2018 kualphadeltapi.com 2018 Executive Officers Tau has had an excellent start to the 2017-18 school year. In August, we welcomed home 75 Alphas through formal recruitment. In January, 12 Alphas joined through informal recruitment. In November, we elected 40 new officers into their respective roles and have already made great headway toward our goals for the year. Additionally, 12 of these officers have since attended training sessions at District Leadership Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This was a great weekend of sisterhood, learning, and fun! On campus, Tau is continuing the standard of excellence set by years past. We have maintained Panhellenic total of 225 women. Academically, Tau is excelling each semester, and since last spring we have raised our GPA from 3.30 to a 3.47. We are now ranked third out of the 12 Panhellenic chapters. We have won Homecoming for the second year in a row with our partner this year, Triangle Fraternity. Another point of excellence for Tau this semester was earning a Panhellenic award for volunteering the most community service hours on campus. Tau enjoyed many fun activities so far this year. We set record attendance for both of our social events in the fall. As is tradition, we traveled across the Missouri border to enjoy some snow tubing at Snow Creek. We had record attendance for this event and had a blast as usual! We've also had a couple sisterhood events—namely, bowling and pottery painting. These events were well-attended and a great study break for many women. We are so excited to be participating in Rock Chalk Revue this semester with our Panhellenic sisters from Alpha Chi Omega. We are hoping to bring home first place like we did in 2016. We absolutely love the new exterior of the house, and the beauty of the outside finally matches the beauty of the inside. So many PNMs and recruitment counselors were fawning over it during recruitment. We love calling 1600 Oxford our home, and we are so thankful for our Tau Building Association and alumnae for making our house a home.
