Aviation Safety Round-Up The Red Bluff Aviation Safety Round-Up will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 24, at the Red Bluff Airport Terminal building. Eker was speaking to artists encouraging them to show their work. Here I speak to garden- ers encouraging you to show your work in Red Bluff Garden Club’s Flower Show on May 1 & 2 as well as the Fair in September. The Flower Show Handbook states that one of the purposes of a flower show is "To pro- vide an outlet for creative expression." Like artists, gardeners create—with lots of hard work and gook luck. To enter your gardening achievements in the Flower Show con- tact me for an exhibitor handbook. This little booklet lists all the rules, entry times, and classes which I sum- marize here. Helpful Hints for Spray Forms. Section E. Vines—classes for flow- Exhibitors 1. All plant material must be fresh and have been grown by the exhibitor. 2. Container-grown plants must have been in the exhibitor’s possession at least 90 days. Combi- nation plantings must have been grown together by the exhibitor for at least 6 weeks. 3. All exhibits/speci- mens must be labeled with the name, and include an entry card with the exhibitor’s name and address. 4. All container-grown plants must be in clean containers, pest and dirt free. Maximum container size is14 inches in diame- ter. Provide a hanger with hook for hanging plants. 5. Containers will be provided for cut speci- mens or exhibitor may provide appropriate clear/see- through con- tainers. 6. Specimens may not be altered by adding oil, or "shine" products. All entries must be entered between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 and 8 a.m. and 12 noon on Friday, April 30, 2010. Judging will start at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 30th. The Show will open to visitors at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 1 & 2. Section A. Roses— classes for any type. Section B. Flat, Round Forms. Section C. Spike Forms.
