I n its nearly 100 years, Oregon Alpha Chap- ter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has been an integral part of the Oregon State Greek community. e house at 224 NW 26th Street has seen the initiation of more than 2,000 men. Our brothers have led campus through our commitment to ac- ademic excellence, always aspiring to live as bal- anced men. Beyond uniting us in our academic and career ambitions, Oregon Alpha cultivated enduring friendships and provided the backdrop for countless memories that have stayed with us long past our collegiate years. Since our years in the chapter house, we've each gone in our own direction, pursuing careers in business, the military, medicine, law, education, and numerous other pursuits. But the brother- hood bond we share as Oregon Alphas remains as strong as ever. e legacy our alumni have built in these past 99 years continues today through a new generation of men. $2.5 Million Capital Campaign Announced As we look to the future of our chapter, the Or- egon Alpha Alumni Association and undergrad- uate leadership have developed a detailed plan to ensure the continued success of the SigEp experience on the Oregon State University cam- A SECOND CENTURY OF EXCELLENCE OREGON ALPHA ANNOUNCES $2.5 MILLION CAPITAL CAMPAIGN pus. rough careful assessment and study, we are pleased to announce e Second Century Campaign: Investing in Oregon Alpha's Future. Our $2.5 million goal will be dedicated to ex- panding three key assets of the Oregon Alpha ex- perience: leadership programming, scholarship opportunities, and the chapter house. is three- pronged approach will not only enhance the col- legiate experience, but prepare our members for life aer college. Campaign Highlights e Second Century Campaign will establish an $500,000 endowment for leadership program- ming, provide $500,000 in scholarships, and fund $1.5 million in renovations to the chapter house. Working with Donald J. Stastny '62, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and ar- chitect for the two previous remodel programs of the chapter house, our renovation plans will create a home fitting the needs of today's college student. A few highlights of the project include: • Expanding the dining room • Creating a dedicated library • Improving study rooms and the sleeping porch • Enhancing the backyard (i.e. basketball court, covered pavilion) $1,036,000 Raised to Date With early commitments from 68 generous do- nors, we have raised $1,036,000 for the campaign to date and we are well on our way to our $2.5 million campaign goal. Reaching our goal and completing this vital project will require the sup- port of each and every brother. For Oregon Alpha to remain a leader and competitive within the Greek community, we must invest in our future. Now is the time to reflect on your experience in Oregon Alpha and how this chapter has impacted you. As collegians, we earned 23 Buchanan Cups, the highest of any SigEp chapter.
