A note from your Official Kids Mag I've met some funny kids in my day. Working on Official Kids Mag has given me the chance to meet some funny kids, some smart kids, some caring kids, and some kids at heart. As I planned this edition of Official Kids Mag, I knew I wanted to continue to write features that, I hope, inspire kids to get out in their communities, volunteer and be kid heroes. In this issue you will meet Bella and Brooke. A pair of local sisters who started giving back at local not-for-profit organizations and have decided that volunteering is cool. Meet a group of FAST Kids who get together weekly during their riding season to hit the trails of Northwest Arkansas on their mountain bikes, make friends and work to become good trail stewards. In this issue you will learn about Camp Kesem, a nationwide organization that supports kids who have adults who have been challenged by cancer. They get to go to a one week summer camp… all for free. You will be introduced to one of the University of Arkansas students who has devoted a lot of time to making sure the kids who go to Camp Kesem have a great time. A kid at heart himself, Brian Huntley, talks tech for kids and offers his opinion of video games and old school technology that is making a comeback. Meet Ella, a 12-year-old with Olympic skating aspirations. Find out what makes her tick and keeps her going back to the ice. Check out some of the summer camps previewed in this issue. You might just find one that is right for you. Enjoy 16 pages of fun activities, puzzles and coloring to keep you busy on the next rainy day. By the way, March is the anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts of America. Help one pair of local girl scouts celebrate the occasion. Thin Mints anyone? Finally, meet two brothers who made an evening of eating Jell-O for dinner. I never knew kids didn't like blueberries. Grab a comfortable chair, stretch out and enjoy the latest edition of Official Kids Mag. Check us out at OfficialKidsMag.com or find us on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.
