The next concert will be at the Centennial Community Hall in Salome on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. at the door. Paul is rebooked at the Quartzsite Senior Citizens Center on Monday, Feb. 12 for two shows 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. He also has two shows at the Quartzsite Improvement Assoc. If you missed any of his concerts in January, you won't want to miss these ones! Rock Club benefi t a big success to help scholarships The Roadrunner Gem and Min- eral Club in Quartzsite held their annual scholarship benefi t concert at the Q.I.A. last Wednesday, and in spite of being laid up for two weeks with this horrible fl u going around, Paul Winer managed to make it to the show and put on a great perfor- mance with his band members. The evening started out with Steve Hohstadt on guitar accompanied by Buddy Apfel on tuba and trombone, and Gary from the rock club on drums. After several songs, most- ly written by Steve Hohsadt, Paul joined them on stage along with Jay and then Mitch Swatez on harmoni- ca. They played together for almost 2 hours and everyone had a great time! The Rock and Gem club made $960. in admissions for their scholarship funds and more from their raffl es. Paul also had the show videotaped, and plans to have a dvd made of the show and will sign over the rights of printing them to the rock club as a perpetual product to sell for their scholarship fund. It should be out and available in about a month.
