Come to our club meeting at the QIA on Thursdays at 2pm for information on what we are doing and when. Coffee and cook- ies afterwards. Visit the Club from 9am-noon Monday thru Friday for a tour. The Bouse Ghost Riders will host the February 16-17 Show Me Ride at the Bouse Community Park. Camping/ staging are available at the park. The Preacher Pass ride will stage at 9am Saturday, February 17. Donuts and coffee will be available, provid- ed by Bouse Chamber of Commerce, proceeds go the Elementary School. The ride will be approximately 47 miles and will return to the Com- munity Park at approximately 4pm. Please bring a lunch. We will ride to The Southern Cross Mine; then on to Preacher Pass. Preacher Pass is a relatively chal- lenging ascent, not recommended for beginners, of over 300 feet in 3/4 mile. There are spectacular panoramas and interesting desert vegetation and rock formations. We will descent to the east into a wash and follow it to the east side of the Plomosa Mountains; then north along the old Stagecoach Road to remnants from war training in the area, the "Vicksburg" in rocks-a vi- sual directional for aircraft; then proceed north towards Bouse and view the General Patton's training camp bivouac site. The ride con- cludes at Bouse Community Park. The nearby Ocotillo Restaurant will have food and entertainment available until late.
