42 WHAT'S UP! FEBRUARY 4-10, 2018 feature story Advetorial Feature S tacey Clair has a lot of good things to say about her long career with Village Inn. "That's where I found my passion for my career and the restaurant industry," the new operations director for Village Inn's locally owned franchise. Although, she did say that with four busy restaurants in her new position, her plate is pretty full. "It's a beautiful full plate," she added, joyfully. "I get to do a little bit of everything. I get to go in and help at the store by bussing tables, planning the strategy for the entire year and dabbling in marketing. It's never the same day twice. That's what keeps me in it, keeps me loving it and keeps it a passion." Stacey, a 23-year veteran of Village Inn restaurants and a native of Niangua, Mo., recently accepted the position of operations director in NWA and moved into the area. "I love it," she said. "It very much was a leap of faith. I wanted to work for George Babb, (owner of the NWA Village Inn group). I knew him from working for another franchisee and got to know him. He is a man of high integrity and has so much passion for the business and making customers happy. I moved to Arkansas with very little knowledge of the area because of his ethic and I've fallen in love with it." Sweetheart Specials February is a busy month for Village Inn and will be for Stacey. Several annual promotions and Village Inn special events are on tap.
