What inspires a physician to go
above and beyond the demands of a professional practice – or to limit the leisure of a well-earned retirement – and donate hours of time and energy for the benefit of those among us who cannot get medical care otherwise? Dr. Richard Shereff, a local
dermatologist who volunteers at the CARE Clinic, has no difficulty answering that question. “I think you can take the measure
of a community by how well they take care of their own,” he says. “I know Fayetteville is a caring community, and the CARE Clinic is just a wonderful organization to be a part of – everyone works, everyone contributes to taking care of the patients.” Dr. Shereff, who is the CARE Clinic Volunteer of the Year this year, also
