Kid-Friendly Cookies
and I knew the big day was coming when our mother got out the mixing bowls and flour. We “helped” create the snowmen, mittens and trees that would go to almost everyone we knew. It’s a tradition that continues today. Young chefs still enjoy the fun of rolling out dough, icing and sprinkling simple sugar cookies. They’re just more talented than I ever was. We enlisted the help of baker extraordinaire Donna Foley of Cake Decorating at Its Best of Belmont Village. She’s known for her gorgeous wedding cakes, but we discovered she makes a mean cookie, too.
