Caroline has been sewing since the age of 5 when her grandmother asked her to thread a needle for her to make a doll dress. She has been sewing for her family ever since. In the early 1970's Caroline signed up for a Machine Embroidery class. Quilt Show planned for Feb. 2 & 3 That's where she got hooked! She pursued machine embroidery and became a certifi ed teacher. She belonged to the National Machine Embroidery Instructors of America where she attended annual semi- nars across the USA. Caroline has traveled to England to study Machine Embroidery with Jean Mobbs Webb and attend a lace college and craft school. She has had many classes with well known artists achieving a certifi cate from City and Guild of London in Design and Stitch. She loves to dye her own fabric and explore techniques. She is a member of the High Fiber Group in Portland, OR. where they use real fl ower petals in their work. She will admit though, doing free motion and original work is her passion. Over the past few years Caroline has pursued quilting for her family, incorporating the many techniques she has learned over the years. We would like to thank Caroline for being such a wonderful member of our group and sharing her exper- tise and work with us. Admission to the show is $2. All proceeds go to local charities.
