Factory Parts The Escapee Geocachers are coming to Quartzsite January 29 to Febru- ary 2. This will be their 9th yearly rally held in Quartzsite. These 4 days are packed with Geocaching fun and open to all geocachers. You will learn about the history and uniqueness of Quartzsite through geocaches placed by locals. It will be held at the James B. Colwell Field, 780 N. Plymouth Ave. in Quartzsite. The opening ceremo- nies are scheduled to commence at 9:00 am with the playing of the na- tional anthem and a fl y-past salute to the Stars and Stripes. Everyone is welcome; all that is needed is an in- terest in radio controlled fl ying. We are expecting fi ve or six profes- sional and semi-pro fl yers from Cal- ifornia, Idaho and British Colum- bia as well as local fl yers from our club and from clubs in Yuma, Lake Havasu City and Phoenix. Specta- tors are welcome to bring their own chairs or can take advantage of the spectator stands. Unfortunately, due to health regulations, we are unable to provide a lunch to the general public. Hope to see you there. Gold show planned Feb. 9-11, 2018 The 2018 Quartzsite Gold, Treasure and Craft Show promises to be the biggest one yet. The show is coming up Feb. 9-11, 9 AM to 4 PM at the QIA with daily prizes of gold nug- gets, prospecting supplies and more. $5 entrance good for all 3 days. Corporate sponsor is Tesoro Metal Detectors. Dr. Eric Melchiorre will be autographing the Quartzsite Gold Atlas Volume #3 which covers gold prospecting. The speaker's bureau will have some new twists including a round table by the experts from all over the country to answer your questions.
