They're some- thing almost all of us make, even if we know that we're not going to stick with them for very long, but I guess it's the thought behind them that counts, right? A pretty common resolution is to find ways to save more money. After all, life isn't getting any cheaper, and I think most of us wouldn't mind having a few extra bucks kicking around at the end of the day. Luckily, the hosts of "The Kitchen" are on it this week. The Saturday morn- ing talk show on Food Network is always packed to the brim with fantastic tips and tricks, and this week's episode, airing on Saturday, Jan. 20, is no excep- tion. This week, the hosts are cook- ing on a budget, and the penny- pinching advice that they have can be useful for anyone who does the grocery shopping and kitchen prep. First, host Sunny Anderson ("Cooking for Real") shows off how to make a super- affordable but oh-so-delicious meat and potatoes bundt loaf that definitely won't break the bank. Later, the hosts break down a shopping cart and share their expert advice on where to get the best prices for some common grocery items. "The Kitchen" really is a Sat- urday morning delight. Along with Anderson, Jeff Mauro ("Sandwich King"), Katie Lee ("Beach Bites with Katie Lee") and chef Geoffrey Zakarian ("Iron Chef America") all serve as co-hosts, and it's easy to tell that the rapport between them is very real. Every week, the four share a few delicious recipes and some of their best culinary tips and advice, and the show's fre- quent guest visitors help to keep things fresh.
