Observed on
February 17th,
National Random Acts of
Kindness Day has grown in
popularity each year. It is
celebrated by individuals,
groups and organizations
nationwide to encourage acts of
kindness. The Random Acts of
Kindness Foundation celebrates
Random Acts of Kindness
Week annually.
A random act of kindness is a
non-premeditated, inconsistent
action designed to offer
kindness towards the outside
world. The phrase "practice
random acts of kindness and
senseless acts of beauty" was
written by Anne Herbert on a
placemat in Sausalito, California
in 1982.
A random act of kindness
or RAoK is a selfless act
performed by kind people
to either help or cheer up a
random stranger, for no reason
other than to make people
happier.
Want to get involved? Do you
