By JULIE ZEEB DN Staff Writer Across Tehama County groups gathered to watch as results came in for Tuesday's Presidential Election. Enthusiasm rang out at the Tehama County Democrats Head- quarters on Walnut Street in Red Bluff when the television announced President Barack Obama had been reelected. "I'm thrilled," Chairwoman Judy Turner said. "I'm so happy Barack Obama will be president again. He'll do the best job he can and we hope there's less partisan politics and that the Republicans will be more willing to work with him. He's been doing good things." Turner said she was happy to see that three Democrat women, Eliza- beth Warren, Claire Mccaskill and Tammy Duckworth, had been elect- ed so far. Staff report In an evolving global economy, American agricul- ture remains a valuable resource that will sustain the industry and those that support, and benefit from, it. That was the message delivered Monday evening by Paul Wenger of the California Farm Bureau Federation during the Tehama County Farm Bureau's annual Farm City Night at the Red Bluff Community and Senior Center. Wenger spoke following a stirring delivery of the National Anthem by Samantha Winning, which opened the evening. A number of awards were presented during the ban- quet on behalf of area service clubs. Following is a list- ing of those honored. Veronica McFadden was named Teacher of the Year with the award presented by Shelley McDonald. The Red Bluff Lions' award for Outstanding Public Service was presented by Patrick Scott to Joanne Ehorn.
