Thanks; Chief Ponce, Amber, Chris & MaryAnn, Cookie & Margaret, Diane, Jim, John & Carolyn, Keith, Lance, Linda, Mark, Richard, Ruth & Cheryl, Steve & Sharon. These funds raised stay in our community and support camperships for kids to attend summer camp and other outreach ef- forts the Salvation Army provides to those in need in our community. Another humongous thanks to our Elf Jan for her amazing decorating skills and packaging of our 105 Angel Tree gift bags. The Quartzsite Fire Department led by Assistant Chief Jose Lizarraga delivered these packages along with 6 bicycles, and many extra toys to excited kids in our community. Thanks to all the donors that earned their Angel Wings by supporting our Angel Tree Program with the purchase of such wonderful gifts. You all out did yourself. You all are truly a blessing. We also had at least 75 kiddos- lost count at times, who went home with pic- tures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, AKA Cookie and Forest, both of whom did an amazing job for our Santa Event. Chil- dren went home with new backpacks fi lled with new socks, pj's, shoes, books, and several toys of their choosing. Many adults also sat on Santa's lap along with QPD Offi cers Weltha and Conley- who did an amazing job of directing parking lot traffi c for us. Thanks to all the Elf helpers Ruth, Cheryl, Margaret, Carolyn, Rose, Di- ane, Jackie, Ethel, Nancy, Jean, Patt, and all our wonderful TSA volunteers who helped. Thanks to Penny from Parents as Teachers® for the fun art activity too. It was an amazing event again this year. Thanks for understanding that at times we are not able to take certain donations- especially clothes- hopefully just for a few days. It takes a while to sort, price and hang so much clothing. Our volunteers are doing their best and working extra hours, too. It takes a vil- lage to run the store and service cen- ter. Donations during open hours only please. Thanks for your patience. A reminder that adult and infant dia- pers are available with photo identifi - cation only. Funding is provided from our town's Community Outreach Grant that we received. You can be serviced monthly as needed. We also have a well-stocked and or- ganized – thanks to volunteer Jackie, Medical Needs room. Ask for free loan of items that include walkers, crutches, toilet seat risers, oxygen tubing, etc. Please ask for assistance when you stop in and see us. A name and a phone num- ber are all that is needed. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. May 2018 bring happiness and good health to all.
