MU NEWS Χ Ω Chi Omega Association P.O. Box 23872 Oakland, CA 94623 Address Service Requested MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE Volunteer at an Upcoming Make-A-Wish Event M u Chapter has done an exceptional job contributing to our charity partner, Make- A-Wish Greater Bay Area, led by Philanthropy Chairman Hannah Farrell. With the latest successful fundraisers this fall, we have raised more than $13,000 this year to make wishes come true for Bay Area children. Because the average cost of a wish is $10,000, which we've exceeded, Mu chapter is now in the process of "Adopting-A-Wish" and hopes to be part of making a special wish child's wish in the near future. Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area is proud to announce that they have granted over 400 wishes in this past fiscal year, a new record for the chapter. We could not grant all the wishes we do without community members like Chi Omega fundraising on our behalf. In the next three years, the chapter strives to reach every eligible child in the Bay Area and grant more than 500 wishes per year. Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area has an upcoming event that they would love your help with —the Hot Chocolate Run is on Sunday, January 7, in San Francisco. To register for the race, visit www.hotchocolate15k.com/sanfrancisco. Make-A-Wish is the new beneficiary of the Hot Chocolate Run nationwide, and we are hoping to get all Chi Omega chapters in each of the race territories across the country involved as volunteers. Your sisters of the Chi Omega Nu Alpha chapter of Stanford University have also shown interest in joining, and this will be a great opportunity for both chapters to come together to help support making wishes come true! Please e-mail events@sf.wish.org or Daniel Marlay at dmarlay@sf.wish.org for more information on upcoming events and what you can do to help. Mu Sisters Gather for Cal 50th Reunion Alumnae members during the 50th anniversary reunion. A big thank-you from Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area!
