He always enjoyed his association with Chi Phi and was proud of his membership. He was a resident of Lewisville, Texas. Alumni News Clarence R. Muth '52 resides in Palm Bay, Fla., and calls himself the "poster child of Medicare." He's battled lung cancer and has had a pacemaker inserted. Unfortunately, his health issues make it difficult for him to travel as much as he would like, though he reports he is recovering right on schedule. E-mail: cmuth@cfl.rr.com Hubert "Hugh" Simonsen '54 is retired, widowed, older, and has moved on from living in Wauwatosa, Wis., for 50 years to St. John's on the lake in Milwaukee, Wis., a place he calls "very nice." ough he did not look forward to leaving his long-term home, Hubert says his health circumstances required him to do so. He downsized his residence in the fall of 2016 from a large, remodeled farmhouse (known as a "farmette") on three acres to a condo in Lake Mills, Wis., requiring less maintenance. "As a Christian, I am obligated to try and help people," John said. He resides in Gainsville, Ga. He has since lived in Minneapolis, Minn., Kansas City, Mo., and Lexington, Ken., though he is now based in Sheboygan, Wis. Bill became specialized in periodontics and continues to practice dentistry today. He is married to a Kappa Kappa Gamma, has two children, and six grandchildren. "I enjoyed my Chi Phi days," Bill states. He and his wife, Sheila Randolph Canby, have been married for 39 years and live in New York, N.Y. She is a curator of the Islamic collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. e couple has one son, Tobias, who graduated from Cambridge University.
