Mack O. Matthews III '49 lives in Mobile, Ala., with his wife, Doret. They met at a pledge
swap more than 68 years ago and have three children. "Back in the day, the old house
on Hackberry Lane was a mecca of fraternal fellowship, great parties, intramural sports
championships, campus leadership, and scholarship," Mack said. "It is true that this tradition
