12 ? 2017 has been a great year for Mu Chapter, and the Secur- ing the Future of Mu Chapter capital campaign. We have reached $916,720 in commitments thanks to the 96 donors that have pledged or given so far. I've had the pleasure of talking with hundreds of brothers over the course of this campaign. It's fun to hear the stories of our alumni brothers' campus experiences. Of course, I am also asked questions regarding the Campaign. • How is the undergraduate chapter doing? • What is the scope and timing of the renovation project? • What are my options for giving? The undergraduate chapter continues to thrive. This summer, they recruited a strong new pledge class and the membership numbers are strong: a total of 101 members and 68 live-ins at the time of this article. The Chapter remains strong in academic achievement and has recorded in the top 10 in grades for all fraternities on campus the past two years. Mu Chapter was also recognized by our national fraternity this year with the Bronze Cup. They have won either the gold, silver, or bronze Cup since 2010. That's quite a run. A successful campaign and renovation will help to continue this amazing campus experience. The scope of the renovation project includes everything you would expect for a building that is 97 years old. The plans include new electrical, mechanical and lighting systems, a fire suppression system, and exterior repairs. For a look at the current plans, go to www.alphasigmaphi. com/capital-campaign. When will the renovation begin? That will be determined by the Corporate Board and the renovation committee led by Torjan Ronhovde '75. Based on recent discussions, the project will start no later than 2019. The scope and timing are dependent on available funds, so your contribution today is very important. There are many options for you to contribute to the cam- paign. • You can elect a one-time gift or pledge over time. Pledges can be spread out over five years and paid at intervals that work best for you. • Use the enclosed pledge form to determine your gift and payment schedule. • Tax deductible gifts of at least $25,000, as well as corporate matching gifts, can be made to the non-profit Mu Chapter Foundation. • All other gifts can be made to the House Corpo- ration (Mu Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi, Inc.). I know there are many worthy causes deserving of your support. However, the need at Mu Chapter is immediate. So far 95 brothers, as well as the undergraduate chapter, have made a commitment. However, there are 1,182 liv- ing alumni in our database, so many of you have not yet participated. I ask you to honor your Alpha Sig experi- ence (as well as the Old Gal) and do what you can for the campaign. Please make your gift or pledge today. Help us continue the fine tradition of Mu Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi at the University of Washington.
