Rho Chapter Prepares to Celebrate 100 Years at Ohio State Large Projects Keep AEPhi Competitive On Campus appy fall, Rho Chapter alumnae! Fall semester is off to a great start, and the Homecoming game vs. Maryland was an exciting one for Rho Chapter members and alumnae. Carly Sobol '14, daughter of Jody Glasser Sobol '80, was presented as a member of the Homecoming Court, and Betty Frank Schoenbaum's '36 100th birthday was announced on the scoreboard. Many projects were completed over the summer break and we were ready to welcome our chapter members back to the Rho Chapter house this fall. We removed the wallpaper and installed beautiful new closet doors in the foyer and study room (no more sliding doors!). New vanities, mirrors, lighting, and faucets were mounted in the second- and third-floor bathrooms. Air conditioning units were installed in all bedrooms and second- and third-floor bathrooms. On the exterior, we installed a new front door, stripped and stained the wood on the first-floor façade, and added illuminated AEPhi letters on the Indianola side of the house. As I shared in the spring newsletter, Rho Chapter is approaching its centennial. Rho Chapter was chartered on December 2, 1921, and we will celebrate our 100 years at Ohio State in October 2021. We are so appreciative of the following alumnae who have already volunteered to serve on the centennial celebration committee: Trudy Saltzman Stearns '81, Cheryl Rothenberg Gravagna '77, Zoe Acavia Smith '13, Jessica Rosenfield Setton '02, Terri Gersman Gordon '79, Esther Weisman '81, and Mandi Bucceroni '02. We hope to have many more alumnae join us in the planning of this wonderful weekend. House Corporation and the chapter members are so appreciative of the alumnae who have contributed to the Rho Chapter annual giving campaign. Your support and commitment to Rho Chapter is greatly appreciated, and is important as we work to provide a well- appointed home for our members as we approach our centennial milestone and the years to come. Two major projects planned for next summer: replacing the roof and installing air conditioning on the first floor. Please remember to send in your biographical updates and any photos from reunions and get-togethers so we can share your news in the next newsletter. We love to hear from you!
