In addition to chapter activities, our intramural football team won our third-straight championship season over the span of a year. With the brotherhood hitting strides in multiple areas, we are just as proud to present our new member class of 41 bright and charismatic individuals, many of whom we expect to usher in a new era of SAE dominance on Purdue's campus. Overall, we are extremely excited with the steps we have taken, and we hope to build upon each achievement in the pursuit of creating True Gentlemen for generations to come. He worked at the family business, Tipp Novelty, for several decades. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army, South Vietnamese Army, and the CIA. Scott was a glass decorator by vocation but a tinkerer by passion. He was Tipp City's go-to guy for advice on building or repairing anything and everything—hovercrafts in particular. He was involved with the World Hovercraft Federation and Hoverclub of America for almost 40 years and was instrumental in bringing the world championships to Troy in 1989. It was common to see him hovering around his property wearing his trademark coverall. Scott is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sylvia; and his beloved lab, Angus. He is survived by his wife, Eva; his three children, Christina, Elizabeth, and Tyler; and six grandchildren.
