For two fun-fi lled days, Busch Gardens/Water Country USA, Crayola, Patch Products, Rusty Bucket Kids, Time Warner Cable, WakeMed, You Can Do the Rubiks Cube and other sponsors will showcase the latest trends, exciting products and innovative services. Every attendee will receive a Time Warner Cable Show Bag upon entry and is guaran- teed to leave with goodies. “CoolKidz Expo is a new consumer show targeting the kids and family market of the Triangle and beyond,” said the Expo’s co-founder Melanie Goldman. “This show offers an accessible and excit- ing setting in which the region’s thriving family demographic will become familiar with the latest products and services – the Hot Products and Cool Concepts – to enhance their lifestyle.” There will be musical entertainment aplenty and more on the Busch Gardens/ Water Country USA Stage and in Kidsville News! Showcase Central. Kids and families will engage in fun and educational interac- tive activities in the Activity Zone, Fitness Zone and Play Zone. Encounter new and creative ideas in the Go Green and the Arts & Crafts Centers. Take a break and refuel with a healthy and affordable CoolKidz Meal Bag or relax in the ice cream parlor and coffee lounge. “CoolKidz Expo is committed to providing an atmosphere infused with colorful displays, new product experiences, lively entertainment, stimulating activities, and delightful surprises – presented in a captivating, yet comfortable setting,” added the Expo’s co-founder Amy Wann. And while there are plenty of reasons for Fayettevillians to make the short drive to Raleigh to attend the Expo, one of the most excit- ing is that Fayetteville’s newest group of young en- tertainers will be on hand to provide enter- tainment. The Kidsville Kids, a perfor- mance group of children ages 5 to 13, will perform three shoes at the Expo. In addition to perfor- mances by the Kidsville Kids, the Kidsville News! Showcase Central will be the the spot for some great team exhibitions such as jump roping and basketball handling. Families can meet Truman the Dragon from Kidsville News! And, a not-to-miss attraction is the amazing artwork that will be created by artist Dan Nelson right in the Kidsville News! area. He will be painting a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of the expo experience right before your eyes! “Kidsville News! is a main media sponsor for the Cool Kidz expo. We’re excited to have the Kidsville News! Showcase Central where we’ll have games for the kids, including the Truman Toss, cornhole game, appearances by Truman, and some of the local authors of our very own Truman Book Club,” explained Jean- nifer Earp, publisher of Kidsville News of Wake County. “We’ll also have drawings for great giving-aways like signed books by local authors and tickets to local shows like Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast.” In addition to the entertainment, kids and families will engage in fun and educa- tional interactive activities.
