PAGE 2 TAU TALK ACADEMICS Coming off of another improved GPA from the spring semester, where we earned a 3.16, tops anything we have seen in several years. It has been amazing to see the chapter GPA consistently improve these past few semesters, and is a testament to the quality of hardworking men in the chapter. RECRUITMENT Our recruitment team has done its job once again this summer, signing more than 30 new members to join the 2017 fall class. After several weeks of getting to know these men, we are extremely satisfied with a strong class of 27 future leaders. All of our new members are eager and ready to develop into the future of the chapter. ATW has become a leader on campus in so many ways. All the hard work these past few years has rewarded us greatly, and it is a great feeling knowing the direction that we are taking. EVENTFUL SEMESTER There are many events and activities this semester that have everyone excited to be a Tau: the annual tackle football game, our first-ever paintball event, brotherhood bowling, Bros on Ice, the second annual meatball sub philanthropy, Desserts after Dark philanthropy with Alpha Chi Omega, an alumni tailgate for the Kansas football game, Dad's Day for the Oklahoma State football game, ATW Thanksgiving, Homecoming with Delta Delta Delta and Adelante, and maybe even a bowl game for Iowa State football! As chapter president, my goals to finish off my term are to thrive in civic engagement, build up the brotherhood from top to bottom, achieve another Fraternal Award of Excellence through our local Greek Affairs, develop the new member class into the best leaders they can be, and to give 100% into everything we do. I know that our potential is incredibly high. I am so excited to see great things happen for this chapter.
