For the past 20 years, he has been teaching choral music in the Cumberland County Schools and now does so at Cape Fear High School, from which he graduated. Britt received his music education degree from Methodist University and completed his master's in music at Eastern Carolina University. He met Holli, his wife, 28 years ago at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where Britt studied for two years before transferring to Methodist. "I was going to be a pharmacist," he noted, "but me and chemistry were not getting along."
