CAMPAIGN BOARD " " "'On the heart of each sister lies one key that binds us.' Today I tear up every time the actives sing this because I see the faces, of dozens of you, standing together in the candlelight. The last line always gets me… 'And, in the years after with tears and with laughter we'll always remember our dear Kappa days.' I remember, and am transported back to 729 South Shields. Epsilon Beta had a defining impact on my life. It is my turn to return the gift." – Sue Skiffington Blumberg 1974 Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority Epsilon Beta Chapter 729 S Shields Street Fort Collins, CO 80521 Dear Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae, My congratulations to the Epsilon Beta House Board on your decision to renovate and expand your chapter house. The administration of Colorado State University appreciates the leadership, service, academic achievement, and sisterhood your members have experienced for over 60 years. I understand your alumnae have gone on to key business, professional, political and academic positions throughout Colorado, the nation and the world. The sorority and fraternity community is flourishing at Colorado State University. In fact, the fraternity and sorority community has doubled in membership during the last five years. And Kappa Kappa Gamma, currently with 192 active members, has experienced tremendous growth. Your decision to provide an excellent living and social environment and first-rate study and meeting accommodations will significantly enhance the university experience for your undergraduates. By adding 7,510 square feet (to the back of the house), which will include a new kitchen, dining and chapter room (with a dining/meeting capacity of 200+), 13 additional beds and more, the chapter membership and alumnae will have more opportunities to build and strengthen sisterhood and community. Sorority and fraternity members are an important part of our Ram Family. Additionally, a high proportion of leadership in the Colorado State University Alumni Association and the Colorado State University Foundation are sorority and fraternity alumni/alumnae. University administrators and faculty understand that a quality sorority and fraternity experience fosters engagement and loyalty – to both their chapter and the overall university. A strong university depends on talented and involved undergraduates and engaged and supportive alumni/alumnae. Kappa Kappa Gamma, through its undergraduates and alumnae, has contributed to Colorado State University's strength for over 60 years. Full support for this building project will help ensure that contribution continues. It is truly exciting to know the goal is to break ground this calendar year and have the project completed when classes begin in fall 2018. Congratulations! Sincerely, Jody Donovan, Ph.D. Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Dean of Students BUILDING COMMITTEE Denise Davis Waddell 1980 Christine Cox Hoppe 1980 Pam Maloney Wolf 1981 Angela DeSautell 2000 Kristin Pribble Golliher 2002 Nancy Foehl Potak 1960 Martha Brownlee Wallace 1961 Suzanne Tenneson Kelly 1973 Terrie Cowen Foristal 1973 Sue Skiffington Blumberg 1974 Janet Hudson Colton 1975 Michele Girault 1976 Sue Rowan Klein 1976 Susan Knights Willmon 1978 LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE Pam Rowe Smith 1969 Molly Ross 1973 CAMPAIGN BOARD
