Thank You, LOYAL ALUMNAE The Golden Crescent he kindness and generosity of our alumnae allow for updates to the Chapter House, which contribute to both the safety and the beauty of our home on Laramie. We greatly appreciate your loyal support of the chapter. You make a difference in the future of Theta Iota at Kansas State University. THETA IOTA WELCOMES 45 NEW MEMBERS AFTER A GREAT RECRUITMENT Tri Deltas Strive to Better the Manhattan Community ith the fall semester kicking off, our members at Theta Iota are hard at work getting back into the swing of things. We're so proud of all our members, and can't wait to get to know our newest pledge class even better. This past semester, we had a GPA of 3.34, moving up a place within the sorority GPA averages. We are above the all-Greek GPA once again. Our academic chairman, Kaitlyn Taylor '14, is hard at work implementing a new mentoring program to keep raising our grades. This fall will bring back our Delta House of Pancakes (DHOP) philanthropic event, where we have an all-you-can-eat buffet of pancakes. It was such a successful event last year that we couldn't imagine not bringing it back. Our chapter raised over $30,000 for St. Jude and is gearing up to raise even more this year. We love having alumnae and the parents of our members stop by our events and see our passion for St. Jude, so more details on DHOP and our other events will be sent out very soon. After wrapping up fall formal recruitment, we welcomed 45 new members to our wonderful sisterhood. In each of them we saw a potential to grow and lead this house in the years to come. With Kansas State expanding the Greek community, we are participating in Continuous Open Bidding to welcome even more wonderful additions to the chapter. New Member Educator Jacqueline Baska '15 is hard at work leading our new members in their education of Tri Delta and what it means to us. From running a winning Student Body presidential campaign to holding officer positions within various clubs, our members are also very involved in our K-State community. Girls are always piling into cars to attend other chapters' philanthropic events, or just to help the Manhattan community. We can't wait to see the opportunities that arise for us throughout the semester. Our chapter has been busy this fall. We hosted our annual Firebug social event in September, an all-house retreat in October, and look forward to Dad's Weekend in November. We have a feeling this semester is going to be the best yet, all thanks to the amazing support from our alumnae and advisors. Please feel free to drop by 1834 Laramie Street anytime. We'd love to see you. Delta Love, Sydney Berkelhamer '14 Chapter President sydneyberke@ksu.edu 1 4 2 5 3 2
