PAGE 4 NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS T he Sigma Psi alumnae and undergraduate leadership has developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Kappa Delta experience on the North Dakota State University campus. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that updates and maintenance to the chapter house are necessary, and Kappa Delta must invest in our home to meet the needs of today's students. Working with Kara Barber, the Sigma Psi alumnae board has developed a tactical approach to our future. The Sigma Psi House Corporation has recently purchased the Alumni Center land adjacent to the current property and expects to tear down and rebuild a larger home. The house corporation hopes to provide more green space and parking for the women with the purchase of this land. The lead designer working on this project is a Sigma Psi alumna. Kara Braaten Barber '05 is a Project Designer at Foss Architecture & Interiors in Fargo. She has worked to create a set of plans that will benefit the women of Sigma Psi for many years. PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS • 10,000-square-foot property • Building will be fully sprinkled for safety • 25 chapter women living in the new house • 12 double rooms • One single president's suite • One guest room • House director's suite • ADA compliant (Americans with Disabilities Act) • Energy-efficient and clean design • Meeting space large enough to host the entire chapter • Better campus visual presence PROJECT COST $2,000,000
