all 2017 is starting off with a multitude of events, including five home games in a row, which all
of us are excited for. August was a busy month with work week where members helped clean,
paint, and re-carpet our annex. is project led us into recruitment, followed by syllabus week, which
could not have come soon enough as we were all excited to relax. We finished off syllabus week with
a brotherhood float down the Yakima River. is semester, we will be putting on our fih FarmHouse
Country Cookout, with a goal of bringing the Pullman community together to help fundraise for
the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. FarmHouse will be establishing some strict standards for our
membership this semester. All in all, I'm looking forward to positive changes in our academics, fi-
nances, and service in the community.
e spring semester concluded with a 2.94 GPA and more than 400 hours of community service
performed by our chapter. In March, we recognized honorable alumnus Wayne Engstrom '60 for his
achievement of becoming a Master Builder of our chapter. We celebrated this event by volunteering
at Second Harvest food bank in Spokane, putting together more than 18,000 meals. Our chapter was
also recognized for winning more than five programming awards from FarmHouse International, in-
cluding New Member Recruitment, Financial
Management, Intellectual Development, So-
cial Moral Development, and Most Improved
Chapter. is semester we are looking to im-
prove in new areas by reaching out to more of
our alumni base and increasing our voice in the
Greek community. As always, FarmHouse will
remain committed to building men through
our object and our values.
