FarmHouse Almanac p . 3 Brothers Recognized by FarmHouse International Chapter Commits to Continued Improvement F all 2017 is starting off with a multitude of events, including five home games in a row, which all of us are excited for. August was a busy month with work week where members helped clean, paint, and re-carpet our annex. is project led us into recruitment, followed by syllabus week, which could not have come soon enough as we were all excited to relax. We finished off syllabus week with a brotherhood float down the Yakima River. is semester, we will be putting on our fih FarmHouse Country Cookout, with a goal of bringing the Pullman community together to help fundraise for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. FarmHouse will be establishing some strict standards for our membership this semester. All in all, I'm looking forward to positive changes in our academics, fi- nances, and service in the community. e spring semester concluded with a 2.94 GPA and more than 400 hours of community service performed by our chapter. In March, we recognized honorable alumnus Wayne Engstrom '60 for his achievement of becoming a Master Builder of our chapter. We celebrated this event by volunteering at Second Harvest food bank in Spokane, putting together more than 18,000 meals. Our chapter was also recognized for winning more than five programming awards from FarmHouse International, in- cluding New Member Recruitment, Financial Management, Intellectual Development, So- cial Moral Development, and Most Improved Chapter. is semester we are looking to im- prove in new areas by reaching out to more of our alumni base and increasing our voice in the Greek community. As always, FarmHouse will remain committed to building men through our object and our values.
