Q : I was glad to see Missy Peregrym on the season finale of "The Night Shift." Will she be a regular in the show next season? — Heather Scott, via e-mail A : It's possible, and the in- ference surely was made that her character Reagan could have more to do on the NBC medical drama if it returns (that wasn't definite at the time of this writing, though its loyal audience both domestically and internation- ally would seem to work in favor of its renewal). In the meantime, "Rookie Blue" alum Peregrym will be a se- ries regular elsewhere; she's joined the cast of "Van Hels- ing," which begins its second Syfy season Oct. 5. Q : Will the new "Dynas- ty" have an Alexis? — Kim Huggins, Grand Junc- tion, Colo. A : Apparently so, per the executive producers of the serial's new version that begins Oct. 11 on The CW. Alexis isn't evident right at the start, and it may take a while for her to be introduced, so that the rivalry between Fallon (played by Elizabeth Gillies) and the new "Krystle" named Cristal (Nathalie Kelly) can be established properly first. Remember, though, that Alexis didn't turn up — in the persona of Joan Collins, of course — until the second season of the original show. Q : I remember a series about a movie studio and the people who worked there. What was it, and when was it on? — Bill King, Buffalo, N.Y. A : You must be thinking of "Bracken's World," which aired on NBC from the fall of 1969 until late 1970. (Its fina- le was shown on Christmas Day.) In one respect, it was a cost-effective show, since it could be filmed around the 20th Century Fox lot without have to dress it up to look like anything or anyplace else — after all, it was supposed to be about a working movie studio.
