I
t is with heartfelt sadness that we send our condolences to Beta
brothers and families who have lost loved ones in the last few
weeks.
Chad Colvin passed away on July 23. He was the son of Mike
Colvin '86 and brother of Chase Colvin '15. Chad put much
laughter in people's lives, love in their hearts, and color in their
worlds. Mike and his family thank us for the love, prayers, and
support from all the Beta brothers.
Carol Ann Drummond passed from this life on August 1, at her
home in Stillwater after an extended illness. She met the late Leslie
Drummond '64, who managed to persuade her into marriage and
a life on his family's ranch in Hominy, Okla. Together they raised
four children who are Beta family to us, Gentner Drummond
'85, Jonathan Drummond '88, David Drummond '86, and
Caroline. Carol Ann earned a doctorate in counseling psychology
and enjoyed a career as a child psychologist. She was passionate
about mentoring young men and women as they navigated their
formative years. She found ways to engage this passion in many
capacities.
