"Looking back over the 54 years since I finished my undergraduate studies, my mind takes me directly to the impact that our Fraternity had on me. Lasting friendships, the opportunity to develop leadership and organizational skills, the role models from upperclassmen, the group environment that set standards to improve and mature all come to mind. Most important were the times spent with brothers discussing the great questions of life, exploring our purpose and where are we going, seeking truth, examining philosophical ideas, morality and openly discussing religion and politics. It was a seeking and learning environment, fostered by the literary tradition of our founder. In short, it helped lead us all down the path to developing the whole man. However, the greatest of these are the lasting friendships that the experience created. To all of you, I humbly owe a great depth of gratitude." — HOWARD STRICKLER '63
