It has gone through many changes over the decades in order to meet the needs of each era. Now, we must look at our housing options for the future of Epsilon Omicron. We have worked diligently over the last few years to develop housing options that will match the caliber of our members today. We need a house that will serve the immediate needs of our undergraduates and provide a first-class facility for future generations of ATW brothers. STUDENT SAFETY We are committed to providing a safe home for our undergraduate brothers. To ensure the safety of our members and to meet housing codes, our plans will have facility-wide protection equipment and modern utilities. Creating a safe environment for our brothers in the house and their guests must be a top priority. INVESTING IN EPSILON OMICRON Today, students and their parents expect more for their housing dollars. The number of apartment complexes in the Stillwater area increases each year, offering more space and privacy and pulling our undergraduates away from the Chapter House. While we have no intention of providing all of the amenities that some apartments offer, we must offer a safe and attractive facility in order to be competitive. The need for quiet, well-lit, and comfortable personal and group space within the Chapter House is necessary for our members to compete academically, and our plans reflect these needs. THE CHANGING LANDSCAPE Over the last 10 years, the Oklahoma State fraternity scene has been evolving—much like the OSU campus. With significant investments being made in on-campus facilities, our peer fraternities have seen the need to mirror the University by investing in their programming, facilities, and alumni relations. Since 2008, the following fraternities have made, or are in the process of making, major improvements to their chapter houses: The ATW EO Housing Corporation has engaged Pennington & Company on a preliminary basis to help us evaluate our likelihood of initiating a multi- million-dollar campaign with alumni support. Having ample experience in the execution of campaigns both at Oklahoma State and across the nation— including Alpha Tau Omega at the University of Oklahoma—Pennington has led more than 300 major campaigns and raised over $550 million in support of Greek life. With such a pivotal decision, we must take seriously the responsibility we all hold in defining the future of our fraternity.
