June 14, 2017 www.DesertMessenger.com 7 Opinions expressed in letters to the editor do not necessarily represent those of the Desert Messenger. letters to the editor KINDNESS IN Q This letter is about kindness and a thank you to all the people in both Quartzsite and Blythe who helped us when our RV broke down on I-10 6 miles out of town in a cell phone dead space. After 2 hours of dropped calls (at 96 degrees) we called 911 who sent the Highway Patrol to help and from then on we knew we were in the right place to breakdown. The officer called Everett's towing who took us to Kofa Mt. RV park where we were able to hook up and wait out the holiday weekend. The managers of the park, Mr. and Mrs. Ryder were so very kind, helpful and understanding of our situation. They even rented us a park model after the RV got towed to the mechanic. All the people in the stores we walked to and the two restaurants we ate in were pleasant, the food was great, and the price was fair. A customer (Steve) at Dollar General even gave us a ride back to the RV park in his golf cart!! So to all of you a big heart full of appreciation and gratitude. And to the rest of the world--if you breakdown try to make it to Quartzsite in the off season!! Yvonne Bevacqua from Lakeside and sister Shelli visiting from Fla.
