Joanne Burns Bartel '78 and her husband,
Steve, live in Springfield, Va., and have two
children, Andrew and Alyssa, who pledged

Alison Brown Paddock '78 joined Reece and
Nichols-West as an agent serving buyers and
sellers in the Kansas City area. In addition,
she still teaches part time at the University
of Kansas in the Curriculum and Teaching
Department, specializing in children's

Lee Lamm Smith '78 is retired and now has
time to enjoy activities and travel. She lives in

Robin Richart Beck '81 makes her home
in Lee's Summit, Mo., with her husband,
Matthew. They have two children, Megan
'08 and Brandon, DTD. Megan married Kyle
Brethower, AGS, on July 25, 2015, in Kansas
City, Mo. The two met at MU while they were
serving as their chapter's presidents.
Kara Holmes Ballenger '99 shares that during
the summer of 2016, she and her family moved
into their new, custom-built home on 12 acres.
The project took four years to complete, from
shopping for property to the completed home.
