Receiving the award was an unanticipated feature of my birthday but a wonderful kickoff to a festive week of celebration. The day after the award presentation, friends began arriving in Dallas to attend a brunch where I received a birthday cake decorated to resemble my new Medicare card! A few days later, my bridge partner hosted a cocktail party in my honor with 65 girlfriends in attendance, and at the end of the week, another close friend invited a dozen of my "30-something" protégés for a special gathering. It was an unforgettable week, from start to finish!" WHAT A SPECIAL 65TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!
