He is also one of the writers of the show's two best-selling books, "America: The Book" (2004) and "Earth: The Book" (2010). Chico born and raised, Ross is a gradu- ate of Chico High School and UC Santa Barbara. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as a writer and arts editor for the Chico News and Review.
