Gamma Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity OUR NEXT 150 YEARS O ur investment in the future of Gamma Phi will ensure the success of our chapter and will promote a legacy upon which to build an even greater brotherhood. Today, perhaps more than ever, college fraternities play a relevant role in shaping the lives of young men. DKE provides a small-group living environment that offers our members a solid foundation for their education and also affords opportunities for high academic achievement and the development of leadership and social skills. The undergraduates have made a commitment to maintain the programs and traditions that have benefited so many Gamma Phi men over the years. Together with our active members, the volunteer leadership of the Kent Literary Club is committed to this major undertaking, which will allow us to renovate our chapter house and compete with other housing options at Wesleyan. Remember that each of us benefited from the generosity, work, and sacrifice of those who went before us. We all enjoyed the comfort and brotherhood DKE provided during our years at Wesleyan. Now it is our turn to support Gamma Phi and ensure that the same, wonderful experience is available to others. GIVING BACK TO GAMMA PHI We urge your thoughtful consideration of this plan. With your support, DKE will continue to provide a quality living environment that develops outstanding young men with the skills and confidence to face an ever-changing world. The commitment we make today cannot be underestimated—it will have a far-reaching effect on the lives of our Gamma Phi brothers for years to come. Ensuring housing for future membership to thrive is not a task being taken lightly. We are at a crossroads: a time when we as Gamma Phi must decide what the future of DKE at Wesleyan will be. This is an opportunity to sustain the years of history, leadership, and brotherhood that so many of us are proud of, and to make certain these opportunities will be available to future generations of young men entering Wesleyan University. GIFT STRUCTURE Because of the magnitude of our objectives, we are urging all alumni to consider major gifts to the campaign. In order for each alumnus to maximize his participation, gifts can be structured over a five-year pledge period. DONOR RECOGNITION Each of us, simply by our presence, has contributed to the history of Gamma Phi. How appropriate then that each of our names be entered into its halls. Each donor who contributes $10,000 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque in the chapter house and donors of $5,000 or more will be recognized in campaign publications. Names will appear by category, relative to the size of the gift. Gifts in honor or in memory of brothers, as well as family and pledge class gifts, are welcomed. Recognition in such cases will be given to both the donor and the honoree.
