Χ Ω CHI OMEGA 3 Χ Ω W e are very pleased to announce that on February 5 we initiated 53 members into the Nu Chapter sisterhood! The initiation ceremony was beautiful and the whole Chapter took part in welcoming our new sisters. At All- Greek Awards, our Chapter won highest new member GPA from the fall and highest overall GPA from last spring. Our chapter GPA from the fall semester was second highest out of all Greek life at a 3.56. Cardinal Cabinet Shoutouts Philanthropy Chairman Rachel Easton '15 is busy planning events with her philanthropy committee, including our annual Cookie Dough with Chi O event, where we sell cookie dough on State Street. All profits go to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Rachel also hopes to revamp our fall philanthropy event, Walk-It-Out for Wishes, to include the greater Madison and Greek communities. Sisterhood Chairman Lily Roter '15 has dedicated herself to planning numerous events for sisters. She planned an Oscar viewing party and a Super Bowl viewing party. She also helped transport 40 sisters to the Fitchburg movie theater for a private screening of a newly released film. Lily is extremely excited to plan events for warmer weather, specifically an excursion to Devil's Lake. Spring Semester in Full Swing On April 2, we held a Founder's Day brunch at the Chapter House and were excited to have sisters from Carthage University join us. In April, we also held a professor's brunch where sisters invited a professor or teacher's assistant to have brunch at the Chapter House. This was a perfect opportunity for our members to connect with their professors and make a more personal relationship with them. We hold a professor's brunch once a semester and our members (as well as the professors) love it! Additionally, the Seniors Banquet was on April 24 at Brickhouse BBQ. This was a memorable night for our seniors as we sent them off with love after their last Chapter meeting. As always, we are proud of everything our Chapter accomplishes. As the spring semester comes to a close, we appreciate all that has happened to make 2016-17 a memorable year. Thank you to our dedicated alumnae, Chapter officers, and sisters who continue to make Nu Chapter great. Senior Spotlight: Talia Berman '14 I knew that I wanted to join a sorority before I came to school and I was sold on Chi Omega based on older friends I knew from home. When I went through the recruitment process, I ended up being torn between Chi Omega and another chapter, but reflecting now, I could not have made a better decision. Chi Omega helped me turn a huge, Big 10 school into a smaller campus and create friendships that will extend past graduation in May. I was able to make connections with not only girls in my own pledge class, but other pledge classes as well. Without this sorority, I would not have been able to extend my leadership past high school, meet some of my best friends, or network with Chi Omega chapters throughout the country. This sorority will always hold a special place in my heart and an experience I could never take for granted. Sister Spotlight: Ashley Hampton '15 Ashley Hampton '15, creator of "Raw in College" on Instagram and YouTube, shares some of her favorite recipes from her latest e-book, It's a Lifestyle. Ashley is passionate about spreading the vegan message through simple, healthy, and delicious creations. You can download the entire recipe guide at www. rawincollege.com/ebook. We are so proud of Ashley for her dedication and passion. SISTER SPOTLIGHTS (Continued from page 1)
