Our grades have been stellar this past semester and we are only shooting for better. Through all of our success we have experienced so far, I would like to sincerely thank all alumni for their continued support and hard work. We owe you nothing but the best." – Chapter President Max Keeter '19 BROTHERS BOAST THRIVING MEMBERSHIP Alumni Recommendations Needed to Further Recruitment Success M y name is Zachary Reader and I'm fortunate enough to have been chosen to serve as the recruitment chairman this year during the refounding of Missouri Alpha. To give you all a snapshot of what recruitment has looked like to date, as of February 23 we are at 87 members strong—boasting a stellar 36-man spring colony member class. The next step in securing the future of Missouri Alpha and keeping the outstanding tradition alive will be summer recruitment, as we seek to create our first Phikeia class as a chapter. So, where does the valued alumnus come into play? As more and more high school seniors solidify their choice to come to MU, we would love to hear about the outstanding young men you are connected with who could potentially be fellow Phis. To reach out and refer a young man or to offer any resource to aide in summer recruitment, you can reach the recruitment team and me at recruitment.phideltmizzou@gmail.com! We look forward to meeting the prospective men in your life and carrying on the lifeblood in this fraternity of outstanding membership. YITB, Zachary Reader '20 W e were able to move six members into the house this semester. This not only helps create a livelier house but also more brotherhood. The entire "Fantasia" hall is filled with members now and two brothers also moved into the "Upper Lower." Finally, Treasurer Joe Davis '20 moved into the "Super Hole" to round out the members who moved in. Many brothers have mentioned the increase in relationships that have formed after moving into the house. Adam Deguire '20 says, "Throughout my time living here this semester, the bonds I have formed will last forever. Some of the guys I had not talked to before I had moved into the house and now they are some of my best friends. I would not change this for the world." This is one of many conversations we have had with members of the house. This is what Phi Delta Theta and a fraternity is about: building bonds for a lifetime. Brotherhood Grows Stronger as House Residency Increases (Left) Missouri Alpha recently received the Chancellor's Circle Award, which recognizes organizations for their academic achievement. Phi Delt SPotlight: treaSurer Joe DaviS '20 J oe Davis has shown not only his attributes here at Phi Delt, but also the immense amount of potential he has to become one of the leaders of the fraternity. "As I have been in Phi Delt since August, I have come to know every single new member in this fraternity and Joe has stood out for his dedication. The ability of setting up the entire budget is something that is a thankless job," one brother says. Joe has not only kept the dues lower than almost every fraternity on campus, but has done it in an efficient manner. Not only has this been beneficial for the current members of Phi Delta Theta, but potential new members see an advantage in this. We will undoubtedly see a surge in recruitment because of how low our dues are. In addition to being treasurer, Joe has volunteered to help move homeless shelter supplies from one location to another many times throughout this semester. Overall, Joe has shown an ability to lead while at Phi Delta Theta and will only grow from here. Joe Davis '20 and brothers volunteer around the community.
