Only $70,000 is standing between us and $1.5 million! To an individual brother, $70,000 may sound insurmountable, but when you combine the powers of our 284 donors and the giving potential of our 1,217 active alumni, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to hit this benchmark. Thanks to the work of many dedicated alumni on the campaign committee, chapter advisory board, and house corporation board, MO Alpha and our renovated chapter house are both in great condition. Our recent revitalization has produced a group of men who will keep our tradition of excellence alive for years to come. As many of you saw at last fall's Alumni Weekend, our chapter house is in tiptop shape and stands out as one of the best on Mizzou's campus. None of this would have been possible if it weren't for our loyal, engaged, and supportive alumni and the success of our capital campaign. There are still a few final house projects we are working to complete. The paving of the driveways and parking lot is not complete, the volleyball court is under construction, and the hardwood floor in the foyer and living room will be replaced due to defective installation this summer. The future is bright for MO Alpha. However, we still have one large, immediate challenge to overcome: fully meeting our $1.5 million campaign goal. While the renovations are almost complete, we have incurred debt during the project and need every bit of the $1.5 million to help pay down our debt and expenses. Our campaign has been a monumental success so far and we need to finish out strong. The time is now—make a donation today before the campaign ends July 31. Your donation can do many things for Phi Delt, and we hope that we will have your support in these final months of fundraising. Whether you've made a pledge previously or have been waiting on the sidelines, it's time to revisit where you stand with the chapter and what difference you want to make. You have until July 31 to add your name to our list of donors or increase your gift. Do not miss the opportunity to be a part of this historic project. Your contribution will make a difference. His father, Bruce Beckett '69, brothers, Matt Beckett '96, Daniel Beckett '99, and Andrew Beckett '06, and uncles, Wilson Beckett '68 and Bob Ewing '69, gave Adam the opportunity to grow up with the values and traditions of Phi Delta Theta. "Our long family history as Missouri Alpha Phi Delts has created a deeper bond among all of us, and we are still very much connected to the fraternity years later," Adam says. Social events at Lake of the Ozarks and road trips with fraternity brothers are just a few of Adam's most cherished memories in Missouri Alpha. He says, "The fraternity provided me with some of the best times and friendships of my life. Living in the house all four years allowed me to meet so many brothers and develop meaningful connections; many of these friendships have lasted over the years." Since graduating, Adam has maintained close ties with Mizzou and has the luxury of living near the Phi Delt house, which makes staying connected that much easier. (Continued on page 4)
