Kappa Kappa Gamma 5 Largest Epsilon Beta Initiation 69 Women Welcomed into the Sisterhood o n December 3, 2016, at the chapter house, we initiated 69 wonderful new members into our sisterhood—our largest initiation ever! The chapter came together to host a beautiful fireside ceremony, a sleepover for the new members at the house, and an amazing initiation ceremony. Twenty-three alumnae, including seven family members of legacies, came to help us out as well. We even had one woman's mom surprise her all the way from Germany! We are so happy to have these women in our chapter and are excited to see what they will do in the future. When thinking about my favorite part of studying abroad, it is truly hard to pick. However, I would say that one of my most favorite things is the people you meet while abroad. The people you meet change your life in so many ways—whether it is in class or just in passing. In my classes alone, I am surrounded by so many different cultures; some of the students in my class are from places such as Mexico, Columbia, Japan, Brazil, Spain, France, Russia, and more! Having the opportunity to go abroad has allowed me to learn so much. I have progressed culturally and have been able to see the world from another person's perspective. It is amazing how much you can learn about someone and their culture by simply sitting down with someone new and having a conversation with them.
