We are looking forward to Formal Fall Recruitment and can't wait to meet all our new Alphas! 23 Alphas This spring, Alpha Omicron took in 23 new Alphas, an amazing accomplishment for our Chapter. This is an extremely prestigious accomplishment for Continuous Open Recruitment. All Alphas are successfully working toward completing their Alpha education member sessions and we look forward to having them initiated. Strong Philanthropy and Academics On March 1, Alpha Omicron wrapped up our third annual Pop Tab and Drop It competition benefiting Ronald McDonald House charities. The event, which takes place every spring, consisted of different fraternities competing in a dance competition. Alpha Omicron continues to put emphasis on our Chapter GPA. For the past six semesters, Alpha Omicron has consistently raised our overall GPA. Successful Homecoming As loyal and true Cowboys, all Oklahoma State fans love Homecoming and Alpha Omicron is no exception. We were pleased that our Homecoming deck with the men of Kappa Alpha Order had the most air time on ESPN. We also are pleased to announce that we are paired with the men of Pi Kappa Alpha for Homecoming 2017. We are sure our deck will be a hit this year! Varsity Revenue and Spring Sing Alpha Omicron is also very talented in the singing and dancing department! This past winter, we were paired with the men of Alpha Tau Omega for Varsity Revue. The show was a big success and we had involvement from all four grade levels of collegians! For Spring Sing 2017, we are paired with the men of FIJI and Phi Delta Theta. Four Awards at DLC At the District Leadership Conference, Alpha Omicron came home with various awards. AO scored high in the category of finance, taking home three awards: 0% Accounts Receivable, Finance Excellence, and Best Financial Management. We also received excellence in the category of philanthropy! Chapter Events Alpha Omicron hosted our mothers at the Chapter house for Mom's Day on April 8. We announced scholarship awards, crafted, and light bites were provided by the Chapter. We look forward to hosting a members-only workshop on how to further portray the high ideals of Alpha Delta Pi through social media. We are excited to see what we learn and how Alpha Omicron can benefit! Last but not least, it is important to mention that the Alpha Omicron sisterhood is stronger than ever. AO stresses the ideals put forth by our founding sisters and never forgets to focus on sisterhood before all else. Here at Alpha Omicron, our members are constantly living for each other and strengthening the bonds of our sisterhood that tie us together.
