SAFETY Se mi na r se t fo r Ca l OSHA compliance The Center for Eco- nomic Development along and Shasta College DSN for Agriculture, Wa- ter and Environmental Technology will be host- ing a free half-day cottage food workshop in Tehama County on Monday, May 1. The workshop will fo- cus on cottage food busi- nesses, which will in- clude local permitting processes and food safety regulations with an em- phasis on farmers mar- kets and producing prod- ucts in the home. The workshop is sched- uled to run 1-4 p.m. May 1 at the Tehama County Farm Bureau, 275 Sale Lane in Red Bluff. TRAINING Cottage food workshop offered in Red Bluff The Red Bluff Round- Up Roving Jail will be vis- iting the Corning area on Wednesday. Warrants and "Get Out of Jail Free" cards can be pur- chased and issued through the Corning Chamber of Commerce, 1110 Solano St. for $20 each. Seniorcenter The Corning Senior Cen- ter, 1015 4th Ave., will be having a prime rib dinner at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 27. Ticket cost is $10 per person. Limited tickets available. On Wednesday, April 19, Public Health will be offer- ing free Tetanus, Diphthe- ria, and Pertussis (T-DAP) shots 8:30-11:30 a.m. These are free to anyone and are good for 10 years. For more information, call the Chamber office at 824-5550. Museum raffle The Corning Museum is now selling raffle tickets for a drawing to be held at the Corning in the Evening on Thursday, May 11. Ticket cost is $2 each or 6 for $10. Proceeds will go to help fund museum oper- ations. Barbecue The Olive City Agricul- ture and Nature Center, 5090 Olive Road, will be hosting a Commemorative Bar-B-Que and Fundraiser beginning at 10 a.m. Satur- day, April 29. Events at this Family Fun Day will include tri-tip bar- becue or vegetarian lunch, hay ride tours of the agri- cultural areas, vernal pools and wetlands, bird viewing, a bounce house for chil- dren, horseshoes and bean bag toss. Round-Up Parade The 63rd Round-Up Pa- rade will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22. The theme for this year's parade is "This Ain't My First Ro- deo." The service added nearly 5 million sub- scribers during the first three months of the year, and will end March with 98.7 million customers in roughly 190 countries.
