My name is Taylor Dailing and I'm truly honored to have the opportunity to connect with you and to relay the recent accomplishments of your fellow sisters. Every day, these women inspire me to be a better leader, a better friend and, of course, a better sister. Through hard work, determination and eagerness to Seek the Heights, Alpha Nu has achieved much over the past few months. ACAdEMIC ACHIEvEMENT In particular, we continued the chapter's legacy of academic excellence by placing above the all- sorority GPA, attaining a 3.33. Additionally, 25 women finished the semester with a perfect 4.0. PHILANTHRoPIC PuRSuITS For me, what has been truly compelling is our continued devotion to our philanthropic beneficiary, True North. This shelter provides comprehensive care for women, children and men who have experienced domestic violence. This shelter is near and dear to our hearts. Our work with True North has helped educate Alpha Nu women on the importance of dating safety and healthy relationships. The two philanthropic events we held in October, Desserts and Pies with Alpha Chis and the Volley Against Violence volleyball tournament, were more successful than ever before. Thanks to our wonderful philanthropy committee and the generous donations of our Greek community, friends, family and alumnae, we raised $27,850 in support of True North. These funds helped create the Alpha Chi Omega Room within the organization's administrative office. HoMECoMING Celebrating Mizzou's 105th Homecoming with the men of Sigma Chi and Sigma Tau Gamma was one of the most memorable highlights of last year. Our Rapunzel theme came to life through vibrant house decorations, window displays, costumes and skits. We had a great time working with the guys and are already looking forward to the next Homecoming in October 2017! We have so much coming up within the next few months, from Greek Week to date parties to the My Journey program. We are so excited to see where this semester takes us. On behalf of Alpha Nu, thank you for your continued support. Please stop by the chapter house at any time. Nothing would make us happier than sharing our experiences with you!
