The only sticking point in his plan: her possessive and overprotective manager (Christopher Plummer). Much angst ensues. "Back to the Future" (1985) On the heels of his success in "Family Ties," Michael J. Fox became a bonafide megastar with his portrayal of high-schooler Marty McFly, who teams with an eccentric inventor (Christopher Lloyd) to ride a nuclear-powered DeLorean back in time to change family history – and preserve his own existence. Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson also star. "Groundhog Day" (1993) Every Feb. 2, this Harold Ramis-directed comedy gets heavy play and with good reason – it's superb. Bill Murray absolutely shines as the callous, jaded weatherman who is forced to relive the title day over and over again and eventually uses the time warp to his advantage and betterment. Andie MacDowell stars as the pretty co-worker who inspires the improvement. "Midnight in Paris" (2011) It's midnight in the French capital, and 21st century writer Gil Pender (Owen Wilson) is swept back in time to party and hobnob with Jazz Age greats including Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Gertrude Stein. Oh, and there's also the pretty flapper (Marion Cotillard) who has caught his eye. Too bad he's already engaged – at least for the moment.
