USE PERMIT #17-02 STARKWEATHER - The applicant would like to construct a +/- 1500sf Dwelling (caretaker unit) and detached garage/carport for the fulltime Ranch Foreman position at Battle Creek Mead- ows Ranch (BCMR), which sustainably manages the pro- duction and harvesting of mer- chantable timber for the forest products industry. This pro- posed Dwelling (caretaker unit) site is located on an 82.59 acre parcel that is Zoned TPZ; Timber Production Zoning District. TPZ allows a Dwelling (caretaker unit) for the management of for- est products with a Use Permit, pursuant to TC Code Section 17.66.030 (C). The BCMR timber- lands are operated under an ap- proved Non-Industrial Timber Management Plan (NTMP) rep- resenting a current inventory of 24,400 thousand board feet (MBF) of merchantable timber and have averaged annual har- vests of 560 MBF over the last 15 years. REZONE #17-01- GENERAL PLAN IMPLEMENTATION PHASE 3 COP- PER RANCH RD. - This is a Tehama County Planning De- partment project that consists of a portion of General Plan Im- plementation Phase 3 known as Copper Ranch Rd. The intent of the proposed Rezone Map Amendment #17-01 is to ad- dress the policies and imple- mentation measures of the Tehama County 2009-2029 Gen- eral Plan. Pursuant to the provi- sions of state law, the zoning code must be amended as nec- essary within a reasonable time after adoption or amendment of a General Plan, to ensure consis- tency of the zoning code with the direction and intent of the General Plan. This Rezone will change the current zoning as in- dicated above to a R1-A-B:86; One-Family Residence; Special Animal Combining; Special Building Site Combining (86,000 sq. ft., 2 acre minimum) Zoning District. If this Rezone is ap- proved the combination of the two parcels could be potentially developed into approximately 12 parcels with 12 single-family dwelling units.
