The Jubilee will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30p.m. with appraisals from 10:30a.m. to 2p.m. Antique appraisals will be one of several attractions in the annex at the museum, 275 C St. in Tehama, adjacent to Habert Park. For a $5 per item donation to the museum, Sam Kissee and his talented troupe of profes- sional appraisers will provide evaluation, history and insight for a wide variety of items. Dick Chamberlain, long time member of the museum and specialist in antique firearms, will be avail- able for appraisals and a wealth of information. The Jubilee is an annual fund-raising event for the museum. It will include a day of live enter- tainment, breakfast and lunch prepared by the Central Tehama Kiwanis, tours of the Museum, Judy's Country store, fiber art demonstrations, rides in Jim's Model-T Ford, crafters and artisans in the park and lots of opportunities to win raffle prizes. Hoffmann of Corning, has completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Myers is a 2009 graduate of Way- nesville Senior High School of Waynesville, Mo. During the eight-week program, Myers completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, fire- fighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physi- cal fitness. The capstone event of boot camp is "Battle Sta- tions". This exercise gives recruits the skills and confi- dence they need to succeed in the fleet. "Battle Sta- tions" is designed to galvanize the basic warrior attrib- utes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance in each recruit through the practical application of basic Navy skills and the core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. Pack's 90th birthday. Pack is a WWII veteran who served in five major campaigns in Europe as a Sergeant in the 712th Tank Batallion. He was also a Baptist minister who spent 42 years of his life pastoring churches, 36 of which were spent pastoring the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, Calif. He retired in 2005 and moved to Red Bluff with his wife of 62 years, Lorneva Pack. James was honored by four generations of family, colleagues, friends and loved ones in a service at Trinity Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Red Bluff.
