www.psiofsigmachi.com All the undergraduate Brothers in front of the Chapter House. P si of Sigma Chi had a very successful 2016 fall semester. Our Chapter upheld all the requirements of the Jordan Standard by maintaining excellent grades, participating in many forms of philanthropy, dedicating ourselves to recruitment, and maintaining a great relationship with our Alumni. The Brotherhood was able to maintain one of the highest GPAs in the IFC, as each of us has been actively seeking new ways to excel as a student. Within our house, there is a great sense of dedication and motivation toward our academics, with each Brother inspiring another to put his maximum effort into his studies. Our Derby Days philanthropy raised $29,000 in the spring, but that was not the only way our Brothers gave back to our community. This semester, our Counsel-Elect, Robert Raiola '17, organized the second annual Homers for Hoos philanthropy, while the Brotherhood also continued their support for other Greek organizations in their philanthropy events. For example, for the second straight year, we had more participants in the Alpha Phi Thankful 5K than any other fraternity. Looking to the future, our new Community Outreach Chairman, Eric Anderson '19, is in the planning stage of starting a new fall philanthropy event that will be directly associated with Sigma Chi. The Psi Chapter also has several Brothers who hold leadership positions within U.Va. organizations such as Madison House, Interfraternity Council –Judiciary Committee, the Honor Committee, One Goal, Pancakes for Parkinson's, Camp Kesem, and many others. Throughout the semester, we hosted several successful Alumni and parent events. In October, we hosted our annual Dads' Weekend where we played golf, went to a U.Va. football game, and had an overall great weekend. One of our most successful Alumni events was Young Alumni Reunion Weekend where it was great to catch up with some of our recently graduated Brothers. The Psi Chapter is looking forward to Phase One of our house renovations being completed at the beginning of the 2017 spring semester. Our Brotherhood would again like to thank all our Alumni for their support and hope to see each one of you in the spring to "check out" our newly renovated Chapter House.
